hi Folks,

I'm a new Savage Arms owner. Previously, I've owned bolt guns from Ruger and CZ. I recently bought a Savage Hog Hunter in 308. It really like the new gun. It's very accurate and easy-to-shoot. I prefer it over my Ruger M77 (also in 308).

Welcome friend. Glad you like your first Savage. Read and familiarize yourself. You’ll soon see why so many here have such a profound appreciation for Savage rifles. Now I don’t look to the company. It’s gone belly up, been bought out and changed hands through history. Their customer service is lacking & they certainly don’t listen to customers. No, I simply appreciate the Savage 110 rifle. I like what can be done to it, and how they can be made to perform quite well. The Savage 110 is America’s longest running platform and is still in production today. It is truly the American rifle.
