Hello all ! Jonathan Parker here. Been collecting guns for most of my 76 years. Was given 37 for my 12 th birthday-father and two veteran uncles . Have owned three gun stores in NewYork and PA. Mostly interested in Savage 10's , 1899's and turn of the century .22's. Also collect Winchester levers and Ithaca sxs's. NRA high power shooter and bullseye leauge shooter. I have been re-barreling 12''s and 10's to faster twist barrels for long range target and hunting using heavy long bullets. I'm a union millwright with 26 years experience- mostly working in neuclear field-power plants and 6 1/2 years at Navy neuclear sub base. Always liked Savage's quality and accuracy. One of my favorites is a 1903 1899 303sav that appears to be an A2 ordered without engraving in excellent condition. Best wishes to you all.

I also am a new member. My name is Don Cambra. I have several Savages, an old .303, a Model 99 .243, and now a Savage 110E in .270. Can I ask a question? How can I tell what series this 110E belongs to?

Wow! Some Resume you have there my friend. A most welcome to you sir. I have a very similar outlook on the Savage 10/110. Savage was the first high power rifle I ever owned. While I was first instructed & started shooting at age 12, I actually purchased a Savage 111 in 30-06 at 18yo. I continued purchasing others, 10’s, and a Model 116 Weather Warrior with Grey Laminate stock. (Beautiful rifle!)

I am a Savage rifle loyalist through & through. Not to be misunderstood, I’m not loyal to Savage the company. Their customer service and problem addressing is just about piss-poor! I’m not even really a fan of many of their other firearms. (Although I do like the MKII’s.) I don’t even purchase NEW anymore. Not for many years now. I will only buy used Savages for the Actions, & then build them to my liking. Great fun!
