Howdy fellow gun lovers and collectors. Signed up today after reading some past blogs on Savage 110. I live north of Atlanta. I inherited an older rifle coming from Alaska, fired it a couple of times at the range a few years back. I would like to know what year it was made. Any pointers will be appreciated.

Look at the serial number of your rifle. Compare it with with a range on this chart. This is for 1969 & later.

Just the Letter prefix gives you a range of years each was made.

Ok, that means you have a Pre-1969 rifle. There is a date code on the barrel. Look at this thread and then try to locate this oval circle on your barrel & the Letter in the circle.
