I am not sure if this is the right place to pose this question: If not, please forgive me and feel free to move it where it belongs;

I love the Savage barrel system with the barrel nut that makes it very easy to swap barrels and calibers. For that reason a couple of years back I bought a Nucleus long action receiver from American Rifle Company which only uses the Savage SMALL SHANK and I put a 280 Ackley improved barrel on it and it has been great,

But now I want to install a 7PRC barrel on that same action...

Does anyone here know if they make SMALL SHANK 7 PRC barrel, and if so, who?

Thanks for any guidance on this.

I know Savage uses a LARGE shank for their 6.5 PRC. I have a 110 Tactical like that,. So I figure the 7PRC will also use the large shank when they come out... But I just wanted to be sure there isnt someone out there offering a small shank version already...

Again Thanks.

Yes… several. McGowen offers 7PRCin Small Shank. X-Caliber offers 6.5PRC, but 7PRC isn’t shown. They do however, also offer 7SAUM & 270WSM which is the larger case size, in Small Shank. So yes. Just go too Google, put in Savage Prefit and research to your heart’s content.
