Is there any difference between the safety selector used with 110 actions with the Accutrigger versus non-Accutrigger models? I have a 110 action and the serial number begins with the letter “G” which if I understand correctly means it was produced in 2003. The rifle is chambered in 270 Winchester with a synthetic stock, blind magazine and Accutrigger. I’m trying to identify the alphabetical model number of the rifle in an effort to determine the part number for a replacement safety selector. Hoping someone can help!

EDIT: My apologies. Using the word selector threw me off. Thought you meant the Sear, not the safety. What sharpshooter said is correct.

The pre-accutrigger has a rectangular thumb selector, the latter has an almond shaped selector.

Here’s a visual to redeem my previous. LOL!

Yes. Mine would appear to require the new style safety/selector which is a two part mechanism. The safety and an almond shaped button on top. The safety itself has scallops on the bottom that slide on the spring inside the trigger assembly. All I can find online are the older style one piece safeties/selectors which I don’t believe will work on my rifle.

You ain’t kidding! Unfortunately those are about impossible to find! Only option really, is try calling Savage and ask to order. Give them your Serial # & explain you’ll gladly fill out & sign a release form& fax it to them. It’s been hit or miss with non-FFL customers ordering trigger, safety parts, etc.

Call & give it a try.

I know! I have an Axis chambered in 223 that has light primer strikes on certain ammo and primers. It’s a known problem with the axis. I emailed Savage to request a new firing pin spring. They said they only sale parts to licensed FFL/Gunsmiths.
