Greetings all..
Savage fan boy through and through, raised on a Model 24 and played he#* on the squirrels and whistle pigs here in SC/SE Ohio since the early 70's. Firearms enthusiast, collector, outdoorsman, fishing nut, and kayaker. Been from the woods and rivers of Quebec and Ontario to the White River National Forest of Colorado and many a spot in between - WV, PA, VA. Can usually smith my own problems, need advice when I can't. Traditional archer since the 90's.
Pap and dad are responsible for all of it, pap and uncle on mom's side too. Raised over beagles and spent many winters chasing bunnies everywhere I could. Have *too* many Savages and Stevens and licensed pattern guns according to my wife. Looking to read and research and problem solve. Also looking forward to seeing some fine old Savage steel. Did manage to harvest a whitetail with a nice Savage rotary-mag lever gun when I was 14 or 15, but Dad traded or sold it at some point and I can't remember honestly what caliber it was. 250-3000? 300 Savage? Been lots of whitetails in between.
