I was able to shoot the first rounds through my new build today and it looks promising. It's deer season here, so this was just a quick test with 3 shot groups, so don't ream me.

Update...5 shots at 265yds...just a fuzz over .5" I think it likes 37.8g of Varget. I need some better weather for some more extensive testing. It was 20 degrees and cold.

Impressive, but 37.8 grns of Varget is too hot in my 6.5x47L, pressure signs all over! 36.2 is about all mine can handle. I guess the chamber is tighter or something! I talked to one person and he started showing pressure signs @ 35.0 grns!

Could be Dennis. If I dropped down to 36, my velocity would probably be in the 2700's. I'm getting 2920 with 37.8. Mine seems to shoot well at 37.5-.8. I loaded up some at 38.4 and they were OK the first trip and too hot the second trip. I figure I will have to do some adjusting this spring when the weather changes.

I was told by a two time champ the same as the above, you have to change your load with weather! Also, powder is not consistant!
