Savage Axis 2 in 300 BLK. I have a set up where it’s a 40 yard shot to the feeder. Today is last for the 2022-2023 deer season and I need to get out and bust some pigs.

Holosun HS510C, got some 190SubX loaded and ready to fine tune. Not pictured is DeadAir Sandman L.

Thoughts? I think you have way to many decorative pillows!

But the setup should work- 40 yards is good for the red dot and that bullet is designed for working at low velocity.

Even though I would really enjoy hunting pigs- very glad we don't have them running lose in Idaho.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve told the wife about the pillows.

There's much worse things to have to deal with- and just giving you a little good natured grief. But it it a little confusing the first time you get told "don't use that pillow- that's not a sleeping pillow!" HUH? Then why the hell do we have it?

Back to the gun- when they pigs are at the feeder like that do you get multiple shots with a bolt gun (running subs and suppressed) or does the first shot and pigs reaction send them scattering?

Don’t know the answer to that question YET. LoL, I did wear them out once with my lever 45/70 though. Had a feeder pen around feeder, but they found a weak spot and when I started firing, they played heck trying to find the way out. Sent four to an early grave that day.

But I’ve shot one before with unsuppressed 308, he dropped, others scattered but were back within five minutes.
