I have a customized Savage 10 in 6X45. Rifle was originally a .223 youth model. I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the trigger, and there doesn't appear to be much that I can do to it other than swap a spring out. Here is what I have:

It's a non-accutrigger and not like the old 2 &3 screw triggers that I'm used to. If anyone can help, it will be appreciated.

The spring is actually threaded into that hole. Preloading the spring increases trigger pull. De-loading the spring, yadda-yadda..

You replace that spring with this one & it will be much better. https://www.gunshack.com/savage-parts/savage-accu-trigger-target-spring-105270-sav105270-adjustable%20trigger

Or, you can make your own custom setup the way I do.

I found that spring that you linked, thanks. I'm more interested in your custom setup, and how you fix things?

I also found a little surprise digging through my box of random parts.

I just need to modify or buy a trigger bracket if I want to use this trigger.

Oh jeez-Louise! Yeah, go ahead and use it. Don’t even worry about the stock trigger. Do whatever you need to use it. Shouldn’t be too bad a modification, if much at all.

Heres a decent blog on full installation. https://www.tacticalworks.com/tacticalblog/installing-the-sss-savage-competition-trigger/

Suprise! I still have 3 in the bag. I also have the modified hangers in the bag with them waiting for the GK to be old enough to build for.

I really quit messing with Savage rifles when this trigger went away. Bottom bolt release really screwed things up.

I was never really a fan. They still use the stock Sear & that’s half the equation. Unfortunately, a contact a TriggerTech is telling me looks like end of 2024.. BLAH! So I guess I’ll end up breaking down & ordering one of the Mcarbo triggers. Straight trigger, made from Billet 4140. An Accutrigger with Sear adjustment & overtravel stop. Works for me.

Then you should look at Jard Triggers, it'll replace the sear.

Jard had the right idea. But they overlooked other points in their design. Which gives the Jard its own inherent problems.

The only trigger I saw Mcarbo made was for the Savage Axis, do you have a link to a Savage 110 trigger?

The SSS Comp trigger was the best I tried and was around $100 when I bought my last one. I also liked the "tuned" 3 screw Northland used to sell, I used it in a couple Stevens 200 rifles. I also miss the SSS bolt handle, I've been using the small Stockade bolt handle as a substitute.

It’s for the Accutrigger. The Accutrigger is the same for Axis & 110. Just as the RifleBasix Sav-1 will fit 110, Edge/Axis, Axis II. The housing & components are different, but not the trigger itself.

I've never owned or handled an Axis, I didn't realize they used the same trigger.

I've never owned or handled an Axis, I didn't realize they used the same trigger. Just the trigger. Not the hanger, safety mechanism or seer
