I recently acquired a Savage 1899 chambered for the 250-3000. The search for ammunition began. None of my local haunts had any in stock. Online results were meager and prices ridiculous. So I started researching here and elsewhere for methods to turn 22-250 into useable brass. Out and about today I stopped at a small gun shop expecting to hear the standard answer to my query “We ain’t seen that in years”. Imagine the pleasant surprise to find that they had three boxes of Remington in stock and not at scalper’s prices. The Savage gods were kind today.:cool:

Just kidding. I've always liked a '99 in the "proper" cartridge of 250 Savage. Would like to see a picture of it.
