12 VLP Bases

12 VLP, 9-twist .223

No-taper or 20 MOA base for mounting Bushnell Elite 10x40 and SWFA SS 20x42 scopes?

Go to swfa.com and then click on mounts all of the different companies are listed.
Personally I would use the Burris Extreme Tactical bases and rings or the swfa house brand (same as Burris)cheaper.

I'll stick with a quality base, no doubt.

Each of these scopes have a lot of adjustment, but I want to make sure I can go from 100 to 1,000 yds without running out of adjustment.

Planning to go with 20MOA base, but I'm trying to determine if a 20MOA base is needed/recommended to set up for F-class shooting when using either of the above listed scopes.

I used a 20moa EGW with burris sig zee rings. I really like the EGW. Great fit/quality.

The 20x ss has 126.5 moa IMO you will not need an extra 20moa in your base.
ss10x-145moa, 16x 116moa.
I don't know about the Bushnell but those are the specs right from SWFA, if you look at another post in this section about SS Scopes the # of clicks for each is also listed.

I saw the other and didn't figure I'd need the 20 MOA base with either scope - then I got to thinking about the Bushnell Elite 3200 6-24x40 I have at home and decided to go ahead and get the 20 MOA base.

I figure it can't hurt. :-\
