This Axis rifle I have shoots very well but there are typically feed ramp issues. Bullet is poised to be chambered , comes up steeply and the tip catches on the edge of the nest. My local gunsmith told me that sometimes the magazine isnt formed correctly and will cause this problem. I took the gun to him to have a new better scope mounted with a single rail scope mount and asked him to review the issue with the feed ram/magazine. He said he had zero issues feeding a cartridge from the magazine.
Has anyone else experienced this?
This has happened with the 2 types of ammunition. Winchester and Hornady American Whitetail.

Savage states that they use Hornady FTX (81197)

Thanks for feedback/input

This has come up before on other shorter cartridges. Contact Fred (sharpshooter) about possibly doing a feed ramp cut on your barrel.
Of course, this is after it’s verified the mag is not the problem.

Read this: 350 Legend is actually named in one of the response posts.

LOL! Well, yes.. ;) But I was referring specifically to the OP’s issue of “nose-dive, jamming”, which has been more centralized & concerning certain cartridges. Not the well known extraction/ejection issues that are unbiased of cartridge for the most part.
