Savage box mag to single feed

I have a Savage target action with box mag that I am thinking about putting in a benchrest stock. Do they make something to convert the box mag to single feed? Maybe an insert that replaces the follower?

Never mind it looks like the Fredsled is what I am after. I guess the next question is if I go with the metal Fredsled will I have to modify the stock at all to fit?

No, for either the magazine type or the loading ramp. They just fit right in.

What Dave said. Fits like a dream.
You could also go with single shot follower/adaptor. Fred has those too. Fits in the bottom of the action and no mag needed.
Plug the mag well with whatever and you have a single shot.

But look closely at Savage and you will see those do not work with center feed box magazines.

What he ^^^ just said. Looks like it fits the staggered feed "attached" mag, NOT for the center feed.
Got one on an early model and they work fine. Pull the action out of the stock, pull the spring/follower, place that SS follower in the mag, reinstall the OEM spring/follower and put it back together. Instant single shot!
Center feed is a different animal.
