Nice to meet y'all! Just picked up a nice Axis ii on a trade. Looking to get back into some recreational shooting, whitetail hunting now that I actually have a little bit of time. Started working 100% from home over the last year or so, and my kids are old enough not to destroy the house/terrorize theri mother while I get out for a bit... I've been doing the AR/pistol thing for a while, so looking to learn and grow in the long rifle area.

Excellent! Glad to have you join us. What cartridge you grab in the Axis? 6.5CM?

Yes, the 6.5CM. that and 120 rounds of ammo as well. Can't wait to get her out for a shakedown! I can't really get out on our land and do a true sight in till after deer season wraps up though, so I'll just cross my fingers that it's still at zero.

Well, my advice is always to pull the scope & rings off the rail, remove the scope rail & make certain it’s nice & clean underneath. Reinstall with blue Threadlocker & torque. Then reinstall scope w/wings & torque the mount screws. Finally, loosen each ring screw & torque those once again. (NO threadlock) I always encourage this on with a Pre-mounted scope, rail & rings/mounts. This eliminates a possible reason should accuracy woes rear their ugly head from jump street. But, that’s just me.:tea:
