EGW rail vs Weaver base for A-22 Mag?

The EGW rail looks great but is over 2x the price of a Weaver base. Is there any real advantage on a rimfire rifle? I've used Weaver bases on centerfire Contenders and other rifles that have seen a lot of use at the bench and in the field. I like the idea of supporting sponsors but is the EGW worth the extra bucks?

Weaver fits pic of EGW. Pic does not always fit weaver. You will need to buy weaver rings if you go with weaver rail just to make sure. Weaver does make pic rails that are compatable with all.

If you look here you will see where weaver says this base is versatile meaning weaver and pic. Others say use weaver rings.
