Savage 110 PCS barrel size

I took the barrel of my 110 PCS this morning. To my surprise, when I tried to put my "normal" small shank barrel on I found the barrel is now a large shank barrel size. This makes all my small shank barrels useless for the PCS. Not a happy camper.

That kind of surprises me considering they're using standard repeater actions on the PCS's. Would make sense if they were using the smaller port actions as they've typically utilized large shank barrels. So are the base screws on the PCS the usual 6-48 or are they the larger 8-40 thread size? I know more and more Savage premium models seem to come standard with the larger 8-40 size these days.
