I love this gun but man this thing crawls all over you when you pull the trigger so im thinking about a brake from Gentry’s customs, what do you think about a brake on a rifle that size other than it’s gonna be a loud dragon!!

That is a Radial port style Brake. They reduce recoil a bit, although they are the least effective. You really want either a Rear Angle or Bastard “side” port design. Of which there are dozens & dozens.

Here you go. Before all of the fad brakes this guy was the one to go to. He is still the one to go to if fitting in to the blow all your money crowd is not important.. https://muzzlebrakesandmore.com/muzzle-brakes

Oh yeah… forgot about thems. That “Ti Beast” for $150 is incredibly appealing.

Appreciate the input gang.

Dave that trigger spring you sent me worked out great, between savage doing some machine work on the chamber and lightning up the trigger with your spring the 7mm stw is shooting great now other than the mule kick that’s it’s putting out….

It was probably the original muzzle brake brought out commersially in about the late 1980's I had one very similar installed on a 7REM MAG in the early 90's. It is still on the rifle today and was installed by Gander Mountains gunsmithing service and was known as the Fox River brake.
It by no means cuts the recoil by 85% and yes it is loud as are all muzzle brakes.
The more recoil tamed, the louder the brake. There are lots of independent comparisons out there so do your homework. From what I have seen the APA design is one of the most efficient and loudest to anyone in a 270* circle near it with the shooter being in the 90* space behind it.

Have had a lot of brakes over the years but none were ever better than one from these two vendors.

Yep. Ross Schuler has been in the business for a long time.
