Does anyone know of a adapter plate that can be screwed into the forend of this stock. I wanting a 3 inch forend adapter to shoot off my front rest for better fitment.
I put a new 6xc barrel on it and wanted to test it out.
If not I might just sell it...

I don’t know where to begin with my question:confused:

What would the adapter be for? Why can’t you use the current rifle with the rest? Do you simply want the rest to be further towards the muzzle? If that is what you mean, no, nothing like that exists for a stock Savage. You would need to modify it yourself or have someone do it for you. If you simply want a longer reach for the the rest, you can mount a Picatinny rail & a Spigot. That would be easiest.

I'm not sure what you are wanting to do either.

Are you talking about a front bag rider? If so then you just need to pick the one that you want and then decide how to attach it. I know they make some that mount directly to the stock and others that attach with a picatinny rail.

Right… there’s no extra firearm attachment, if that’s what you’re after.

You can do something like this fairly easy. See how I have the Picatinny rail, and a 6” Spigot attached with QD fitting.

Sounds like he has a BR or F-class type front rest that has a 3" wide pad. Thus he would need an adapter that takes a round or smaller forend and makes it into a a flat forend that works with the rest. A picture may be found following the link below....if you feel lucky. https://benchrest.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=7665&d=1240277890 ...................and here is a link to a rest. https://www.brunoshooters.com/mm5/graphics/00000001/IMG_7020_2.jpg

Yes I have a 6ppc nbrsa rifle I shoot or my front rest.
The savage stock has a tendency to roll one way or the other regardless of what I do.

The Urban Rifleman has a 3 inch wide adapter for the mod-12 BVSS. Not familiar with the
stock differences, but maybe close enough to make it work. Looking at around $40 bucks.
If you have some time......Get a piece of 3 inch wide aluminum "C" channel and do it your-
self. I've made a few over the years.

Ahhh, you need 3” width, not length. Thank you for expounding Robin.

There’s this one. Fitting a rail on your stock is an easy bit.

What Dave showed above will probable be your cleanest option. Leaving the rail for other options as well.

If you just want stability and are not interested in moving the mount forward in front of the stock like Dave Hobeck shows, I recommend a Sinclair F-Class Gen-3 bipod.

I use one with my 12 LRP with a 26-inch barrel and it is as stable as anything I have ever used.
It mounts on the front sling swivel and tightens down. No need to front load the F-Class bipod.
I fact I use one with all of my target rifles from a bench.
Actually, I believe it was made for use prone but after using it from a bench, I was sold.

About 8 of my range buddies who saw my results and got to try one of my two bipods on their rifle were sold too. They all now have purchased their own.
