hi 308 7-08 260 243 22-250 are all in the same "family" is there a 25 cal version.

All listed except the 22-250 are based upon the 308 case (all necked down). The 22-250 shares the same bolt head diameter (.473) but is based on the 250 savage (aka 250-3000) case. If you want a 25 caliber short action cartridge with the standard bolt head, your options are the 250 savage, 257 roberts can work on a short action but full potential wont be realized, or a wildcat based on the 308 case ( i believe it's called the 25 souper). There is also improved versions of both the 250 savage and the 257 roberts.

25-284 also has .473 bolt face and will have plenty of powder in a true short action rig.

Unless you have the need for the fastest thing out there, take a look at the 250 Ackely Improved. I am getting near 25-06 performance with about 20% less powder.
