To rechamber your 25-06 barrel it would be $75 plus shipping and a new barrel would start at $320 plus shipping, of course these are my prices and could be more or less from other places.

It's a great round, I have one in a 26" barrel Sendero. I would strongly advise a 24" minimum & I prefer a 26" personally. You will be within 100-125fps of a 257 wea. with same tube length.

If you want a new heavy varmit 25-06AI contact Dan on USARIFLESHOOTERS.COM
He is a dealer for E R Shaw he can get what you want for about $150.00.
I have bought 3 Shaw barrels and all of them are .500 shooters
I got a 6.5X55 270 WSM and 6.5 rem mag.

.5 shooters, that is good to know. There seems to be a wide spread of opinion about those, I wonder if some underestimate them because of their lower price.

I have 3 E.R. Shaw barrels and they are shooters, and do not copper up at all. Sub MOA. I am not a target shooter (anymore), just a hunter and shoot for my own amazement so I find these barrels a great buy for my purpose. My 7x57 Shaw barrel is a tack driver and my favoite foul weather gun. 140 gr SPBT over 44.5 IMR4895.

If you already have a complete 25-06 rifle your current stock may not fit or be able to be made to fit the heavy barrel. Maybe allow $$ for a new stock too.

i already have a 25-06 with a heavy barrel but that thing shoots so good im not messing with it, gonna start with something else as soon as i find something. Prolly find an action, buy a good stock and then a barrel. Never built a rifle so im gonna have to do a lot of reading and ask alot of questions. guess id better become a paid member so i can get some more in depth answers and maybe find some deals on some parts.
