California born and raised, Cali really was wonderful way back then. Don't want to speak of what it is becoming. :disturbed: Been a "shooter" for about a year and a half. (Never actually touched a real live firearm until I moved up here to Vermont. (YEAH VERMONT!!!) I have six rifles -- four being of the Savage persuasion. Savages: .17 WSM BMAG with stainless bull barrel; (2) B22 FV with a(nother) bull barrel. (3) Ruger American Rimfire (funny thing; this is the most reliable gun in the bunch, but it just doesn't thrill me); (4) Axis II chambered in .308 WIN (aka "the BEAST"); Axis II chambered in .223 REM -- love this thing. was having so much fun at the range one day that burned through well over a hundred rounds of shiny brass Norma ammo; (6) Tipmmann Arms M4-22; real fun, but 10 round mags are a drag.

I'll be going out late next week for rifle season. Hoping to break last year's washout. (Spotted one live dear -- a doe that was already headed away from me when I spotted her. I was just getting set up in a borrowed ground blind and didn't even have my rifle on me.) Other than that it's been mostly plinking.

Best to all,

FT

Welcome. You should have picked up just 1 Axis and the other a 110, so you could see the differences.

That is a darn intriguing suggestion! I'll have to give it some serious consideration. Thanks!
