Well I bought this ''cheap rifle'' back in 2009.....model111 fcxp3,. Ditched the scope and installed a LEUPOLD VX-II. That cheap (Under$ 400) has become my go-to rifle for
13 years without ANY issues at all. The bolt gets stripped down x2 each year.........
had I known how good it was, I would have bought 3 !!!!!
and that mushy -soft recoil pad works great on my 75 year old shoulder.

I purchased my first Savage in 1996 when I was 18yo. Got it at my local Kmart & and I think it was $295 roughly. (Wasn’t so cheap for me then.. ha!) I’ve been a fan ever since. Funny thing is my last Savage purchased was in 2015… a Model 10. Got it used off Gunbroker for $270. It’s now gone through its second rebuild & has had quite a bit invested into it.

And I’m still a big fan. Glad you like yours as much as I do mine.
