Anyone out there use the Leupold Quick release mounts on a 110 flatback? If so, how do you like them? On a left handed rifle would the releases get in the way of loading?

I know, a lot of questions but looks like an interesting mounting system. Thanks in advance.

I’m gonna say no, it won’t present any problem. Here’s a picture of a Left Port 210FT. The Quick Disconnects don’t appear to be close to anything to cause any kind of interference.

I use Leupold quick release rings on both my Savage 110 long action and my Marlin 45-70XLR with a scout scope. Both mount back to zero without fail.

The ring "levers" are adjustable so they can end up in the same place upon each install\tightening....and also so that they are not in the way of anything.

FWIW I use them on the Marlin as I prefer a peep sight....but in those early mornings and twighlight evenings I like the scope as it brighten ups that time of day. I like them on my Savage as I can put the rifle in the safe and it takes up much less room with the scope removed.

Good point about the safe, I hate weaving bolt actions together because of the scopes.

Only drawback is, that is where your ring has to be and you have to fit your scope into that spot. If it will fit. If you can get the eye relief you need. Some compact scopes will not work if the tube is to short. Have them on at least one rifle and probable a couple sets around no longer used. Most now wear Warne bases

Nme are you asking about the QD Mounts or just the QD Rings? Leupold has both which are distinctly different. You stated “mounts”, so I took it as such. The first pictures. But I believe the other answers are referring to the QD Rings.

Some clarification may be needed here. I don't have the Leupold QD mounts that Dave Hoback is showing above. I have the Leupold QR Weaver style rings. https://www.amazon.com/Leupold-Quick-Release-Weaver-Style-Scope/dp/B078XGT6P1?th=1

The Weaver style QR work great with a picatiny rail setup and you can adjust your eye relief very easily. Just mark your picatiny rail where your rings need to go....or you get a different eye relief...and a different POA and impact!!

Yeah, I figured you had the QD RINGS Steeltrap. So I posted pics of each for others to distinguish. No matter really, they both work just fine of LH actions. Obviously, if it’s the Rings as you have, they can simply be installed with the QD Levers on the opposite side. And as my first response showed, the mounts present no interference.

If you need more room around the ejection port for like a blind mag loading situation, the IronSighter bases give a little extra.
