Can anyone tell me the grip diameter of the Choate tactical? Is it wider or narrower than the Choate Varmint? What about the Bell and Carlson Medalist varmint/tactical? Similar sized? Was going to try for an Oryx, but I think I will go with the Choate if the grip is not too wide. Mainly going to be off the bench with this gun

I have a Choate tactical stock on my Win Mag, but I am not sure at all where you'd measure the diameter, meaning at what point? The stock attaches to the grip about an inch from the bottom. The grip is super comfortable to me, but I have gigantic hands. Can you tell us what measurement you're looking for?

The vertical portion/pistol grip portion below the trigger guard.

Level with bottom of trigger guard is 1.88" wide. Below the trigger guard, the grip extends into the butt portion of the stock so you can't get a diameter of just the grip at that point.
