Hello from the Southern mountains

I killed my first deer a few years ago with a Savage .30-06 with an accutrigger borrowed from my younger brother. Extremely impressed. My only other experience with Savage firearms is an odd story. Back in the mid 90s I was on a business trip and during a lunch break visited a local gun store not looking for anything in particular and became interested in a used Savage 24F .223/12 gauge. It reminded me of my youth and how fascinated I was in a neighbor's model 24 in .22LR/.410 gauge. At the time, I was building on weekends a cabin in the woods and wanted to have multi-purpose firearm available there. I think I paid like $350 for it. It came in handy more than a few times over the years. I'd always had wood and blued steel firearms growing up and this type of finish with synthetic furniture was new. On my Savage even the front sight ramp and bead/blade insert were plastic/synthetic! One day I notice the bead had broken off. Likely from mostly being leaned in a corner or in a closet on that sight! That started the quest I find myself still pursuing. I'd appreciate any and all advice on what to do for a front sight on this firearm. Thank you all in advance.

You would think there would be more options for the savage rifles. Im sorry i cant lead you anywhere but there have been people very successful at cobbling parts together. Sometimes the guys over at 24hourcampfire can answer these type of questions. Welcome.
