I would like everyone's opinions please.

I just got my Rigid Alloys chassis for my BTVLSS and am going to install a Swampfox Optics Patriot 6-24 FFP scope. I am also planning on using the Swampfox Freedom II rings which are 1.1" centerline. With the Sharpshooter MIL reticle, I can use hold overs out to 275 yards (according to Strelok). I don't plan on shooting much past that.

My dilemma is that I don't know which base to go with. I am considering a 0 MOA, 20 MOA or 25MOA base. If I go with either 0 or 20 then it will be EWG and DIP for a 25. DIP is out of stock on the 0 MOA base for left handed MkII's

I appreciate any insight.

160+ looks and not a single reply after 1 week. I figured that I would get some replies here. Needless to say I decided to go with the DIP mount since it is cutout at the ejection port.

I went with a 20 MOA base on my Mark II, but with my SWFA scope it's probably not needed out as far as it will go with reasonable accuracy. I don't really think the base offset matters unless your scope has limited travel.

How far are you planning to shoot?

I had thought about the 0 MOA DIP mount but they are out of stock. With a 20 or 25 MOA mount I will have enough elevation adjustments to get out to 300-350 yards before I have to start using hold overs.

Well I received the DIP 25 MOA mount today and got everything mounted to the rifle. Now to find time to sight the scope in.

Here is a long overdo update on my MkII with the Rigid Alloys chassis and Swampfox Patriot scope. Life got busy and I just got a chance to get to the range today. Needles to say, I am very happy with the new setup and can't wait to start pushing it out to 200 + yards.

I stayed with 16 inch pounds for the action screws. My groups did tighten up a bit with the chassis stock versus the Rhineland Arms Leopard stock I had before. I went from 3/4" groups down to 5/8" groups at 50 yards shooting CCI Mini Mags.
