Hi I recently bought a 1899 the problem I am having is the trigger lock moving lock to unlock. There is no square hole for the spring. From the pictures in the article MadDog posted it looks more like a 1895 safety it’s round with a slot about 1/2 inch long and slides into a hole in the receiver.
