Hello,
Thanks for checking this out.
If I enter a search into the little search box on the upper right, a separate page opens up with a ' Google' internet search.
So I go to the 'advanced' search. I'm trying to find threads about the 223 Remington, so I click on "all types" and enter 223 into the 'key-word' box.
"No results found" comes up.....Doesn't seem possible.
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks again.......

The basic search which gives the results in a google page works pretty well. It's just using the Google search engine but limits results returned to those from this site. When you type in your querry and click the search button, if you look at the search box on the google page that opens it will show "223 remington site:savageshooters.com"

On the advanced search, not sure what happened there for you as I just tried the same search and got the usual 4 pages of results.

Couple of things to note on the Advanced search:

1) Your querry has to consist of at least 3 characters for it to work. (i.e. search for "10FP" or "110FP" rather than just "FP")
2) It uses the built in search engine of this forum software which leaves a LOT to be desired.
3) It will only show you 4 pages of results consisting of the most recent result.

Hello,
Thank you for your assistance. I would have never realized that the Google search was from the site only.
I'm still having difficulty with the advanced search. I've attached a screen shot so you can see what the page looks like before I hit the 'search now' button.
I don't do anything in the 'additional options section. Well, anyway, this search results in "sorry, no matches".

"223" is too generic, you need to be more specific with your search request.

Thanks for the reply.
The page calls for 3 characters minimum. You may be right though, I just tried '223 remington' and I got many results.
Thanks again guys !
