I am looking to buy my son a 25-06 rifle, (College graduation). I have a 110 in same caliber. There isn't but about $120 difference in the two rifles at Buds. How much better if any at all is the 110 over the Axis?

I have several Axis rifles and like them but since it is a graduation gift I would definitely get the 110.

If you get the 110 with an accu-stock and accu-trigger he will have a better adjustable trigger than what is typically on an axis, those two features alone should easily be worth the 120 dollar price difference. Not ever owning an axis I don't know if all of them come with a scope or not. I did however do a trigger job for a friend that bought a used axis. It had about a 6.5lb wobbly trigger pull. I used an MCarbo trigger mod kit on it and got the trigger down to 2lb and no wobble. That is so far the sum total of my experience with axis rifles.

The 110 hands down. The Axis is just fine for the purpose of an inexpensive hunting rifle. It’s much the same situation as the Remington 700 & 783. The 783 is also a fine hunting rifle. But it’s not the 700.

I have a model 12 and an Axis. I'll not get another Axis. Don't get me wrong, the thing is a great shooter. I just don't like the cheap feel of the bolt. Mine also has a Boyd's stock on it now.

For $120 I'd get the 110. Besides the feel there are more after market parts for them if he is so inclined. And, like above, the trigger is a bit better. An Accustock is even more of a bonus.
