I'm looking to get a new Leupold Freedom scope to go on my 30-06 Savage 110, either the 2-7x or 3-9x. Of the available reticles their newer "Hunt-Plex" reticle caught my eye. That looks like a decent enough reticle online but I've see comments from hunters on other forums and social media that they were disappointed in the reticle because it was too thin, especially in wooded terrain. So, does anybody have any real personal experience they can share about the suitability of the Hunt-Plex as a hunting reticle? Many thanks!

It’s the same thickness in the center as their Duplex reticle as far as I know. The difference in the Hunt-Plex being there is no transition on the Top, Verticle bar. Have you ever viewed their Duplex reticle? I’ve heard some say they think it’s too thin as well. I never had a problem with it. Although now I’m using the GENIIXR reticle.

If you've previously used the Luepold Duplex reticle & liked it, you’ll like this.
