QUESTION IS WILL A STANDARD AR buffer tube screw into the savage stock. It looks similar but what I want to do is put a standard buttstock on so I can install a bag rider in the rear and the front. Has anyone done this? All replys appreciated. I shot the rifle in a real nice precision benchrest and I couldnt get it to behave. I still shot some decent groups but keeping it still and find out if this will get me some tight groups. I like the rifle and I put a tank break on it and it worked decent. Thanks

Sure does fit my friend. 1-3/16–16 thread size. Will accept the Rifle length or Length with a castle nut.

I am using a rifle buffer tube bot the buttstock which fits on it even when tight you can swivel it if you lean into it. Does someone make an adaptor to lock the rifle butt into it tight.

This’n should do the trick.

Slightly cheaper.

Personally, I would just drive a set screw or pin through the stock into the buffer tube, thus locking it in place.
