That's what happens when you're NOT paying attention.
Pulled my 17 VHA barrel and bolt head.
Installed my 6.8 BR barrel and bolt head.
Set the head space and cased it back up.
Was more concerned about the replacement than the operation of the rifle. (short action)
Been doing swaps for so long you don't give it a second thought till you have issues.
Primed/sized case to set the head space.
Pulled the trigger and got about half a click. (??) Action out of stock, same issue.
Put it aside them pulled it out the next morning. No firing pin sticking out. (Well DUH)!!
Come to find out, picked up the wrong bolt head. Long action I got from somebody along the way.
That would sure cause the half click.
Swapped bolt heads and all is good.
Good reason to watch what you're doing, even if you know it all.;)
