Loaded some 55 Grain Nosler Ballistic Tips with a starting load of Varget.
Got to the 50 yard bench this evening.
Just wanted to check function and get it close at 50 yards.

Set at about 15 yards the first shot was low and to the right.

Put target at 50 and it hit the bottom of the paper.

Just spun the dial some to bring it up and hit low and to the right.

8 clicks left and 24 clicks up got me on the bull. First shot was the left one and then two to the right.

Trigger pull is an astounding 5 1/2 pounds so may be a trigger job in the future soon.

For an old blind shaky guy I can live with this for a start. With some work hopefully will get better. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220418/09df83e0b0c35a0ca841f4bb7558b630.jpg

Yeah the triggers stink so I put a Rifle Basix in mine and Varget has always been a great powder. On bolt guns I usually first remove the bolt and position the rifle so I can look through the barrel and see the bullseye then adjust the crosshairs to get it on the paper.

Nice start. Looks like you'll have a good shooter there.
