additional magazine

I recently purchased a Savage Axis II XP 308 rifle. I am very excited to have this gun in my possession as it was extremely difficult to come by. ( supply chain issues I suppose). I am trying to buy an extra magazine for the gun which is also extremely difficult. The 55232 seems to be the right one, but it comes short action and long action. From reading some of the other posts, it seems as if the short action would be for the 308 and the long action would be for a rifle such as the 30-06. Is this correct?

Your correct. 55232 is the one you want for your axis 308. It’s the same one that my daughters 243 axis uses.
