Hello,
I just replaced the barrel on a Savage 110C, Med. action (1958?). Was a 243 I put a Criterion 7mm-08 barrel back on. I am going to glass bed the original wood stock and need to get the mag. well off of the action - having some trouble! The mag well is held on by (2) tabs that look like they were press-fit onto slots in the action with the other sides of the mag well sitting on rails. It looks like I will need to push/bend the end (s) of the mag well in to allow them to release from the slots in action?

Anyone have any tricks to make this work without damage??

Thanks for any help!!
