Hello. I have a rifle I'd like to get a stock for I can't id the action. It's serial F899670. It's blued, started life as a small shank 300 rum. Thanks everyone

What you need to know for a stock is the action screw spacing and magazine type, stagger or center feed. In your case it's a 4.275 action screw spacing and a stagger feed.

Did they make short action 300 RUM's. I would have thought a stagger feed Long action with a 5.025 action screw spacing.

I would bet the house that a 300 Remington Ultra Magnum is a long action receiver.

I know that it's a long action, stagger feed with top bolt release. Just trying to find the model number. I want a boyds for it ,they ask for model # when ordering a stock. I forgot what it was of course.

Think Fred just had a brain-fart and was thinking RSAUM rather than RUM.
