I need one stinking spring to fix it. It's the spring that positions or maybe holds the 22lr cartridge in place for the lifter to push into the chamber on my old Stevens Savage Model 87A. I thought it might be a "bumper" spring? Not for sure on that. I searched all over the internet and can't find one. I Googled Savage/Stevens/Springfield/Wards etc. to no avail. Also Ebay and Numrich-Gun PartsW

There's several 'small businesses' that deal with older parts. Here's a beginning - https://www.bing.com/search?form=MOZLBR&pc=MOZI&q=stevens+rimfire+rifle+parts
You might want to search specifically for Stevens/savage 87 parts ? but that may not return all the smaller vendors.
Good luck,
Ed
PS the 87 is not a 'Favorite' - that's a diff rifle.

Amazing what you can find at Numrich. Been my "go to" for many decades.

Bingo! I stared at their poor quality diagrams for hours with a magnifying glass until my eyes were bleeding! It's a Cartridge GUIDE spring, and I was looking for Cartridge FEED spring! Thanks guys for all the suggestions!

Done deal! Works perfect! What a fun gun to shoot, and unbelievably accurate by any standard with iron sights and old eyes. I am currently pursuing a d&t option for scope mounting.
