I am in the process of making several barrels for a switch barrel.
All 16 inch with 5/8-24 threads for muzzle brake.
My question is if i decide to sell these at some point will there be a demand for them.
Here is a caliber list.
1.221 fireball
2. .243 win.
3. 257 roberts ackley imp. 40°
4. 6.5 creedmoor
5. 6.5/257 Roberts Ackley imp. 40°
6. 7mm rem magnum short. ( 1.75" case length not belted)
7. 30 TC
8. 308 win.improved 30° shoulder
All barrels have 11° crown. The muzzle brakes will be timed.
If i sell these I may include dies and or brass with the sale
Do these sound interesting?

Everything about our hobby is interesting. I enjoy Savages in .223, 6.5 CR, .308 and .450 Bushmaster. Might be interesting to try others but I am set for now.

16"? Too short for me or any of my shooting buddies.

muzzle brakes will be timed to your bolthead and receiver, not mine.

Yes, my project is trying to make my own striker from a long action!
That is@the reason for the 16 inch lengths.

Mine are all 16.25" just because some people are not very good at reading tape measures. permanent breaks cover that also. have a couple.

I assume the calibers listed at the bottom of the post are for your striker. How is the 25-06 recoil. Does the 30-06 AI kick like a mule?

that one I have no problem with unbraked. I reload half grain under full and work down to a good node. everything lasts longer including powder supply lol. now if there was a way to get extra life from primers :)

This makes a permanent nut location unusable for most. If the nut remained adjustable they would have a greater value.

If the nut remained adjustable they would have a greater value.my brakes are timed against a heavy 5/8-24 jam nut that is@placed against the ten on shoulder. The same nut can be used for barrel removal provided the brake is tight. Barrel nuts are fixed with a set screw and red loctite.

I have one that I set up just like that. 7mm-08. Are you interested?

I may be interested if the proved It my budget. I have 8 barrels ready right Now and have yet to shoot all of them at this newlength. They switch out real fast.
Did your switch barrel allow you to change them withoutremoving the scope & stocks. I took a dremme l to the area ahead of the nut on the stocks to allow for clearance to spin e nut with the barrel and let it be lifted out. I also tapered the entrance of the barrel at therecoil lug so the barrel could be started in the recievereasier. I then pinned the lug therefore soit was always linedup.

I'd be interested in either the 6.5 Creedmoor or the 6.5-257AI. Next week I'll probably have a striker action for sale.

Keep in mind that you're asking this of a guy who finds shooting .416 Taylor from a Striker enjoyable? Greg's one of those folks who has a natural immunity to felt recoil.

LOL! God Bless..:redface-new: Have a good friend like that. He shoots both 7mm RUM & 338 Lapua WITHOUT A BRAKE, & says, “yeah… recoil is a little heavy.” HUH?:o
