They emailed me, said they could not replicate my issue. It screwed right on. My guess is they used a vise and were a lot more firm with it than I could be. Either way, all solved and no charge

Ya know, one I thing no one thought to ask… did you have it in the in the Action Wrench when you attempted to screw the barrel in? I’ve found white the Wheeler Action wrench, when really tightened down, the barrel would not unscrew from the Action. The Wrench “CLAMPS” down around the threads, locking it in place.

I wonder if this was the cause?

No vise or tight wrench. I guess I just couldn't twist it hard enough and didn't want to cross thread it. Usually they just go right on. Maybe tighter tolerances at Shaw?

Threads were too tall. Easy fix.

Well I had no way to know for sure and I wasn't going to have someone mess with it and them say no on the return.

I would have tried a little 220 grit shoeshined on the threads, but that's just me.

If it didn’t go easy you did the right thing. I doubt Shaw screwed it right in either. Guess you’ll find out when you pull the barrel. Haha.

How does it shoot is what we really want to know. [emoji1]

Will share that info as soon as I can get to the range

Shaw apparently did put it together well. Sighted in quickly and shot nice groups. All good, and it's ready for deer season.

Good to hear. Glad it worked out well.
