Savage 30-40 krag/20 gauge combo

Dad picked up one at the gun show. 30-40 and 20 gauge. I'm not finding anything on this caliber. Maybe custom ordered? I'll get some pics this week. Anyone ever ran across this combo?

That sounds plausible. Guy he bought it from thought it had been sent back and rebarreled. Just wondered if they ever built any in 30-40.

Got to see it today. 30-30 marked through and stamped 30-40, so rechambered. Blue you were spot on. Thanks for the help.

Hope you reload. Definitely would not use anything heavy in it. Did a contender barrel to .30-40 once. Very noticeable change even light loads.

Dad does reload. He pretty much sticks to all the recommended "starting" loads. Mostly toys with old rolling blocks.
