I have been using Savage Rifles for many years for hunting, but then a few years ago I began buying and using Savage target rifles and like hunting rifles the Savage target rifles are outstanding. I have a 6mm Creedmoor, A 308 Target, a 270 and 243 which is capable of almost unbelievable distances. I have a 400 yard target capability at home and up to 1200 yard close by. I hand load all my ammo and use Hornady target bullets and mostly H4895, IMR 4895, IMR 4064, H100 hybrid, and sometimes Varget and CCI 200 BR primers. I am retired, so mostly I shoot targets, reload, and build knives.

Retired and do pretty much the same except for the knife building. I do put a bunch of M-14 type rifles together to keep out of trouble and enjoy the 300 yard range in my yard and have access to a 1500 about 5 miles away. Not really interested in the long range stuff.
