I read through the FAQ Factory AccuTrigger Part Numbers and frankly found it very unclear. For one the diagram shows a Trigger Return Spring, but the part no. listings do not mention it at all (I assume the Sear Spring is it, not sure). Also it's 8 years old so possibly out of date.

So I'll try asking this question: I have a recent Savage Stealth (not the old model). Is there a reduced power trigger return spring I can buy that will lighten the trigger pull? BTW both Savage Customer Support and Gun Shack have said no, but it's just not clear to me why a lighter spring wouldn't work here.

Yes, this one from the Target Action. https://www.gunshack.com/savage-parts/savage-triggers/savage-accu-trigger-target-spring-105270-sav105270-adjustable%20trigge (https://www.gunshack.com/savage-parts/savage-triggers/savage-accu-trigger-target-spring-105270-sav105270-adjustable%20trigger)

I do not believe your rifle has this spring. It is the lowest weight available.

As a quick tag on to the thread I got two of the spring sets from Gun Shack on Friday for my F10’s. I’m believing the 10 has the standard AccuTrigger spring so I wanted to give these a whirl. Both original came down to about 1 1/2lbs. One breaks nice and crisp the other has a little creep that won’t be helped by the spring. I don’t expect a lot but I wanted to give it a try.

And for the life in me I can’t see why the Savage dual spring design can’t be replaced with the right (length, wire, tension) single spring and a 10-24 set screw. I’ll let you know tomorrow night how that goes. Bill.

Just to make sure we are talking about the trigger and not the sear return spring.....
