I’m a newbie , hoping to pick up some great Savage info!
At the moment I’m rebuilding a friends 69Rxl -e , though it’s
missing the extractor. Anyone have one or could point me to a gunsmith who may have worked on this law enforcement and military shotgun ?

Savage model 69 is the same as the model 30. Stevens Model 77 Shotgun Series - Internet Movie Firearms Database - Guns in Movies, TV and Video Games (imfdb.org) (http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Stevens_Model_77_Shotgun_Series)

Numrich has your extrector. Savage/Springfield/Stevens 30 Series A Parts | Gun Parts Corp. (https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-manufacturer/savstevspgfld/shotguns-sav/30-shotgun-series/30-series-a)

Apparently that's a common problem, there's several complete bolt assemblies for sale on Ebay, with broken extractors!!

Thanks Big Al 1, found it, though it’s out of stock. At least I know what it looks like now.

Maybe I’m calling it an extractor and it isn’t. It’s not a part of the bolt assembly, not a firing pin extractor. I saw those.
This part is about 2” long an sits in a groove on the left inner wall of the chamber area, on the left side and held in place by a screw. Maybe an ejector plunger ? The numrich # is 142960c .
many advice welcomed! Thanks .

Ahhh. Proper nomenclature helps!! Sounds like you need the ejector assembly and ejector screw. Part #6A and B and part 17. The screw has two different thread sizes, so make sure you get one that match's. I'd call to make sure they get it right!! Good luck!

Thanks for sticking with me and getting me on the right part. Awesome help ! I’ve ordered it , along with both screws just to make sure I can finish the repair. I hope to be reporting back soon to say that the shotgun is back in service.
