View Full Version : Hello from DFW area Texas

I just purchased my first Savage, a 110 Elite Precision LH. (Yes, I'm a southpaw shooter.) Looking forward to lots of long-distance target shooting with my son. Still pulling together accessories and a few other things but will be very excited to get out and see what I can do with this rifle at the range.

Like target practice with my pistols and also take the wife to the pistol range once and a while to try to keep her in practice.

I also do a little goose, duck and sandhill crane hunting once in a while.

Looking forward to seeing what I can learn from everyone here and helping where I can.

Celltech... he lives in Texas man... He can just open his back door & shoot a MILE off his porch, LOL! :surprise:

Not if he lives in DFW! I drive up to Fossil Pointe where they have an 800 yard range...but would love to find alternatives.

Hi celltech, I have found a couple of long-distance ranges around the DFW area so far. All of them require membership fees. I live more on the eastern side of DFW so Fossil Pointe hasn't been on my radar.


Northeast Texas Tactical http://www.northeasttexastactical.com/home.html SE of Dallas has targets out to 1 mile with spotters and wind calling.


Jacob's Plain Gun Club and The Battlefield https://www.jacobsplaingunclub.com/ North of Greenville targets out to 1100 yds. Monthly precision shooting competitions. My son has a membership here so I'll probably visit this one with him first as a guest to check it out.
