I joined this forum because I am now the owner of a Savage Axis II XP in .308 sold with the Bushnell 3-9 x40 scope. I found these forums while searching for mods for the Axis and figured it to be my best resource on my new firearm as it is my first hunting rifle. I did some hunting when I was younger with my uncle and cousin but haven’t done it in decades. This is as good a time as any to get back into self sufficiency as society looks to be going in a bad direction.
I like shooting and have a few other firearms that are listed in my profile. I am not currently a “gun guy” like many here most likely are. The skills regarding guns has only been those of practicality for me in the past. I am now rectifying that and am starting the process of becoming a “gun nerd”. Much to wife's chagrin I have caught the gun bug.
I look forward to posting, learning and talking about Savage’s firearms.
