Help needed

I’m wanting to find a drop in barrel for my Axis . Looking for a 22-250 in a 1:8 inch twist . Anyone have any leads as where to get one ?

Any place that sells Savage 110 drop in barrels. BOTH models use the SAME Barrel & Barrel nut.

Any used Savage factory barrel you might find will be 1/12" twist. My 22-250 varmint weight Savage barrel was 12" twist. Heaviest I could shoot in it was 60 grain pills. You can try McGown, Shilen X-Caliber, etc to find an 8" twist.

My plan the for a custom barrel is to get a barrel blank, which are not out of stock, here.

I plan on a 26" barrel in .308 with a 1/10 twist in chrome molly. The barrels have 5R rifling. They also lap the barrel for $65.

As you can see you can pick any option you want to get the rifling done.

After that I plan on sending it here to get the barrel turned, threaded and fluted in a Varmint = 0.820" muzzle.
