My new Mirage URL Chassis came supplied with an Ergo Deluxe Tactical grip. I’m not a fan of them. Too soft..too FAT, for my liking. Which is weird, because my hand is huge. Nahh, I much prefer & have been using Magpul grips EXCLUSIVELY for the last 17 years. The Magpul MIAD, MOE & K2. Like ‘em all. So I have a MOE & a K2 at home. Ended up using the MOE on my AR15 and removed the Ergo in leu of replacing with the K2. The durn K2 wouldn’t fit! So I got to sanding. And sandin’ & sandin’ & sandin’! And when I was done...I DID A BUNCH MORE SANDIN’! LOL!

I coulda gone quicker on my belt grinder. Problem is the curve section. Didn’t want to rush it and have it ruin’t!

Finally got’r done though, uhg. Glad I did it. I just don’t like “cushy” grips. The Ergo feels like a darn sponge to me! I prefer either hard rubber material, at least 60-70 Durometer, or my first choice, is the stippled Magpul polymer. Feels great in hand. And looks “correct” to me. The Ergo went on my MDT TAC21 Chassis, which I’ll end up selling. What are your choices out there?

I feel the same way. I do like the verticle grips myself.

Yes, the MPA is a popular choice for the straight grip. I had thought about it, but figured after 17 years, why try to mess with a good thing? I’ve found the K2 is about perfect for me. Straighter than the MOE grip, but not 90. Without putting a protractor to the K2 image above, I guess it to be about 18 degrees.

The K2 is my favorite grip for the AR-15 platform. I also use the MPA grip but, only on MPA BA Chassis. I'm not sure how it would feel on another chassis due to the integral thumb recess on the MPA Chassis
