I have a savage o/u 430 20ga shot gun. My dad bought it at a house sale many years ago in Boston. When he tried to fire it sometimes it would fire and sometimes not. He was told the springs were weak and took it to a number of shops and no one could fix it. One place tried to shim the springs. Of course this was before the internet and now I was able to get the springs for it from Wolff springs and a shop in Kansas put them in for me and it’s been working well every since. Has anyone else experienced this? I also make sure to store it with the tension off.
