Hello everyone,

I just got a 12VLP 22/250. My first 22/250 so will be following experienced members with this caliber in the Savage line.
I have practically no experience in Savage center fires.

Thanks

Welcome to the group. What twist rate is your barrel? Mine was one in twelve and the heaviest bullet I could shoot accurately was 60 grains

Welcome friend. Nova Scotia huh? Very cool! Well you came to the right place place to learn your Savage. There are members here who have quite formidable backgrounds with them. And many of us, like me, just truly LOVE the Savage 10/110 Actions. I’ve owned several since age 18(l (first high power rifle I purchased.) It’s so satisfying to purchase a used Savage 10/110, strip it down to bare Action and rebuilding it into exactly the rifle you want.... and the caliber you want, that performs superbly.

Welcome from NB, you have a nice gun there, You don't need much experience these guns are very forgiving. Reloading will help if you can. Happy shooting
