Manufacture date of my model 1912?

Does anyone know when my model 1912, serial number 11942 was produced?

About all you can do is guess. The know Savage ledgers do not include the Model 1912 so they can't be lettered. They started with serial number 1000, and I have recorded a couple just over 14,000, so yours is about ¾ of the way through production which stopped for WWI, about 1915~1916.
